About the Teruno Series
The Teruno World Series is a line of original Epipremnum aureum cultivars bred and released by Teruno world, a small independent pothos breeder in Japan. Each cultivar is released under its own name and a sequential series number, its 'World Series Number', which identifies its place in the release order. The series currently spans more than two dozen numbered cultivars, beginning with #1 Valencia.
Teruno selections come from both deliberate breeding work and naturally occurring sports, and the range is unusually diverse for a single species: golden and cream marbling, high-contrast white variegation, ruffled and crested leaf textures, and the twisted "sleeping" growth habit seen in Shangri-La and its variegated forms. A few Teruno cultivars have entered large-scale commercial production internationally, but most remain limited releases that rarely leave Japan and circulate mainly through collector channels.
Because these are clonally propagated cultivars, plants sold under a Teruno name and number should trace back to Terunoworld stock. Our Teruno listings are identified by both cultivar name and World Series Number to keep provenance unambiguous.
Care
Standard Epipremnum aureum care applies across the series. Bright indirect light, water when the top inch or two of the mix dries out, and a well-draining potting mix. Heavily variegated cultivars want more light to hold their color and will grow slower than the greener selections. All trail or climb; a pole will push larger leaves.
